The
Kinsmen Clubs of Peel Region are again hosting the Canada Pavilion at the Carassauga Festival. This year Heritage Mississauga
and The Métis Nation Of Ontario will be joining us to present a much bigger and more comprehensive pavilion
The
festival involves 23 pavilions, representing different countries and regions and will see an attendance of 200,000 people
through the weekend. Attendance is by passport and a total of over 25,000 passports are expected to be sold. Average attendance at a pavilion is 8000 to 10,000.
The
Canada Pavilion will be located at the Mississauga Senior Citizens Centre, 1389 Cawthra Road right besides the Cawthra Community
Centre.
We
expect to feature cultural programs, including performances by First Nations groups, pioneer interpreters, dance schools,
live music and a marketplace involving food, beverages, vendors and cultural displays. The Pavilion will highlight Canada coast to coast inviting visitors to experience their
country as they have never before. As last year, Gold rush and mining will continue to be one of the feature attractions.
By showcasing the diversity of Canada
we are inviting visitors to COME AND EXPLORE CANADA. We take pride in making the Canada Pavilion the ultimate in entertainment
and education.
